ASCIIpOrtal gets a nod

April 13th, 2010

I know it’s been a while. And it may be a little while more. But ASCIIpOrtal just got a nod and I figured that was worth mentioning. Go check out the ASCIIpOrtal review on Wiz and Chips here:

“Joe personally wrote me that ‘ASCIIpOrtal is released MIT open source. It’s the closest to a “do whatever you want” license i could find. I’m of the opinion that the world is a better place when everybody shares. ;)’.”

If you want a REALLY permissive license, give this: http://sam.zoy.org/wtfpl/ a look. As you’ll see if you read it, it literally says “Do what the f[censored] you want to”. I think that’s about as permissive as you can get. Though, since it lacks a “No warranty” clause, I’m yet to use it for any of my programs.

yeah. Should have said “t’s the closest to a “do whatever you want” license i could find without cussing.”
