It has always been theoretically possible to compile any of the weekly program on the site for Linux or even Mac, but so far no one has done it. No one until kaw on #rgrd (that’s the IRC channel for rec.games.roguelike.development). Now there are 6 games with binaries for OSX available: Alleytris, Crypt Rover, Hammurabi, Star Trek, Tai Pan, and True God. Finally, if you have a mac, I have some executables for you to try out.
The biggest problem has been I lost the photoshop file that I used to make the other download buttons with, so I was faced with the challenge of either making all new buttons or trying my best to make this one match. I went with the “fake it” option. Don’t look to close.

I could give you some 32bit Linux binaries if you want. Also, it would be cool to redo those icons with a vector drawing program like Inkscape. Then you could easily make them all the same and even scalable without making them look bad.

Sure the buttons don’t look that bad? I tried inkscape once, didn’t like it.
Do you really think Linux binaries are necessary? Are there many people who use Linux who can’t use a compiler? I guess that number is growing, but still.

Well, by what it said in the article, it sorta sounded like you wanted Linux binaries, which is why I said that.
