I miss the blog-style front page (gone as of 4 mar 2009). It made it easy to refresh the page to see if there was a new post right there at the top.

Glad you approve. I figure it's the best of both worlds.
I feel like it needs to be re-written. I'll give it some time to see.

I was hoping I wouldn't be every other post on these boards. Ah well.
I totally plan on doing tutorials. Then I'm going to package those tutorials with the programs into books. However, I don't plan on putting those tutorials online because, as James said there are already tons of them online. I've even recommended a few of them on the site, just do a search for "tutorials".

I think the background image should say return 0; instead of return 1; as it's standard for 0 to mean exit with success and 1 to mean an error (well, any non-zero value is an error, but the program can use them to mean different errors). EDIT: Shouldn't the C++ hello world program have a ; after using namespace std ?

Hmm, You're right. This theme doesn't have any log out button anywhere I can see. Well that's inconvenient.
I hate playing with the theme of the forums. It's not as straight forward as Wordpress by any stretch. I'll look into it.

Could you make attachments downloadable for unregistered users? I just made a post where I inlined some attached images, but I notice that the images won't appear if one isn't logged in. Another reason I ask is so that unregistered users can download the zipped-up mapsets that I sometimes post.
I find it weird that there's no indication that attachments even exist, when you're not logged in.

I didn't even know this was an issue. I'll look into it.
