If you weren’t aware I’m an active part of the bytejacker community, and another member of the community is Danny who is an active flash game developer. Danny took part in this year’s Global Game Jam and made a game (look at that grin. Feels good to finish something) based on a discussion on Bytejacker a few weeks back about ice levels. His game was nothing but ice levels and featured Anthony and Jon from bytejacker and me giving level hints from my basement. More games need Joe level hints.
I hate ice levels is a punishingly difficult game that satirizes all the worst things in platform games including disappearing blocks, (mercifully few) pixel-perfect jumps, and of course lots of slip slidey ice.
